TERLI welcomed a visiting architect from a Moroccan urban design firm. The purpose of the visit was to explore innovative solar building materials for an upcoming company headquarters project that emphasizes both sustainability and architectural aesthetics.
The architect discovered TERLI's CdTe solar glass through keyword search on Google and was particularly intrigued by its integrated thin-film design, visual appeal, and superior energy performance.
Following a preliminary online consultation, the client scheduled an in-person visit to TERLI. After touring TERLI's intelligent CdTe solar glass production facility and R&D lab, the client expressed strong interest in the company's expertise in integrated BIPV design and customized fabrication. A collaborative design session was held with TERLI's in-house architectural team, where both parties exchanged ideas on façade structure, glass specifications, energy efficiency, and aesthetic integration. Based on the client's project requirements and design vision, the TERLI team promptly delivered a tailored proposal that included detailed floor plans and 3D facade renderings—showcasing the full potential of CdTe photovoltaic glass in modern architectural applications.
After in-depth discussions, both parties reached a consensus to collaborate. TERLI will supply customized insulated CdTe solar glass for the project, delivering power generation, thermal insulation, and visual integration in one solution. This advanced glass features a double-layer structure with high-efficiency CdTe thin-film solar cells encapsulated between the panes. It effectively blocks external heat and noise, significantly improving the building's thermal insulation while continuously generating clean electricity. The product's design can also be tailored to match the building's architectural aesthetics, eliminating the need for additional shading or decorative elements. As a multifunctional facade material, it represents an ideal choice for architects pursuing energy-efficient, visually harmonious, and environmentally responsible building solutions.
This partnership not only represents TERLI's further expansion into the North African market but also highlights the growing global demand for CdTe BIPV materials in sustainable architecture.
